The first match of the season was played before a crowd of 91K fans.

They ended up seeing a 6-1 Wood Elf victory that was a lot more exciting then the score would lead you to presume.

Preseason ELF BOWL

Team JDAM All-Stars met Woody's roundup for a preseason elf bowl game.

Woody's won the match 4-3

The turning point occured on the 1st turn of the 2nd half when after kicking to the All-stars, Spring's promise sprinted and leapt 11 squares down the pitch to deliver a 1 die block on the opposing team's Blodging thrower. It would be the second succesful 1 die block that the star War dancer would throw on Steve to pop the ball loose.

A quick scoop, an unsuccesful blitz attempt by some All-star lineelfs, a leap and a handoff and Woody's roundup had a 3-2 lead but more importantly, they now had the initiaitve in this scorefest.

Final score 3-2
only 1 casualty, Big Ed Badly Hurt Woody's roundup's mascot, who regenerated to make himself available for future beatings (yes, yes, I know, cheesey)
